Margate shell groto! Caves full of shells that some they have no idea how they got there. 10/15 min drive from air bnb.

It's smaller than Margate Caves but is covered floor to ceiling in beautiful seashells.

This is a great place to see especially as it's 104ft long and a Grade II listed building which opened to the public in 1838. No one knows who made it, why they did it or when! Its shell designs seem to display a wide range of different religious and pagan representations.
