A quaint village that hosts the famous Carmel Races on certain times of the year. The home of Sticky toffee pudding, great little shop to visit. A small selection of unique shops and plenty of bars/ restaurants including the Michelin star L'Enclume.
Carmel is a cute village with a 12th Century Priory, great eateries (see “Food scene”) and lays claim to be the home of sticky toffee pudding! It’s a 3/4 hour drive east so could be done en route to the M6 from High Lowscales.
