Two gardens with very different glimpses of Kauai. McBryde has a natural feel, beautiful gardens and you can wander at your own pace. Allerton is also beautiful, home of the huge ficus trees in Jurassic Park but they only offer guided tours.
If you have any interest at all in the unique flora of the Hawaiian Islands, stop in to visit this lovely garden. If you have time, take the tour - very much worth it.
Wonderful tropical plants; great tour and also check out the one on the way to Haena. It is best make reservations for your guided tour before leaving home.
The National Tropical Botanical Garden is a Hawaii-based not-for-profit institution dedicated to tropical plant research, conservation, and education. It operates a network of botanical gardens and preserves in Hawaii and Florida.
