Where construction of Blue Ridge Parkway began back in 1935. Great hiking, lush woodlands, scenic views and absolutely gorgeous picnic grounds.

Hiking trails for different levels. Best is 2.5 mile loop into a gorge, criss-crossing a cool mountain stream. Picnic areas, restroom facilities.
