White Water river Preserve is fantastic for summer exploring. It is 20 degrees cooler in this area and has lovely park grounds for a picnic as well as wading pools. You can also get into the whitewater river which is fed from the Colorado River. Amazing stop.
Off the 10 FWY at the windmills is the Whitewater Preserve. You cross over the raging whitewater and a short drive up the road you are at the Preserve. Pack a picnic, bring your kiddos in their bathing suits. There is a fun splash pool. I suggest water shoes. Dogs ok. Hike to the whitewater and wade…
This is a lovely park in the Sands to Snow National Monument. It is a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail. Good hiking and abundant wildlife. There is no fee to enter.
We love this place. Who knew this would be in the middle of the desert! great scenic drive and perfect setting for great photos
