An incredible place. The thermal baths of Saturnia are free spas in the countryside already used in ancient times by the Romans. They can be reached in 1.5 hours by car from The Nest. Un luogo incredibile. Le terme di Saturnia sono terme libere in campagna già utilizzate anticamente dai romani. Sono raggiungibili in 1 ora e mezza di auto da The Nest.

If you fancy going on an adventure and you do not mind driving 1h40, some of the world's most famous hot springs are near Castiglione: if you check 'Le Cascate del Mulino' (Saturnia hot springs) on Instagram you'll be enchanted by the majestic rocks where these hot springs are located. This place is free to visit, but do not leave anything unattended when you go into the waters because the area is not supervised, so it's best to leave your valuables hidden in your car. This place is very much enjoyable in the summer too as it's less crowded, but perhaps don't go if it's extremely hot. The water temperature is never too hot. If you go, we recommend stopping for lunch or dinner in Scansano, which is a small town you will have to cross to get to the hot springs.
