The UPenn museum is fascinating, and well worth the cheap admission. It is unairconditioned, though, so best as a fall or winter destination.

One of the best museums in Philadelphia, although not many people realize the incredible treasures it holds including ancient Egyptian pieces.

A hidden gem nestled within the University City neighborhood on the University of Pennsylvania campus, the Penn Museum is dedicated to anthropology and archaeology. The collection is comprised of art and artifacts largely discovered by the University's own archaeologists and researchers in the 19th and early-20th centuries.
