Getting a little far away now, but worth it. The nearby Malheur Wildlife Refuge is worth the trip in it's own right.

AMAZING views. This is one of Harney County's '7 Wonders'. Look it up online - you'll love it! Takes about 1 hour to drive up to Frenchglen ... then a little ways further from there depending on where you want to go

For the area's most magnificent views, the Steens Loop is an adventure for all! Check road conditions before heading out though, snow pack will close the upper loop.

It’s got some amazing views. Takes about 40 minutes to drive to the base from The Ridge, and another 1.5 hours to get to the peak.
