About 6 miles round trip. Great hike, not super hard. Access to trailhead may be affected by Cottonwood Pass construction.

This is a beautiful and moderately challenging hike about 20 minutes west of downtown. It is 6 miles round trip and ~1500ft of gain to the lake. There are a couple of small lakes along the way that make gorgeous stopping points. Plan for a half day if you're coming from the lowlands.

Moderate 6 mile roundtrip hike on well used trail, so its easy to follow. Great views and fishing. 20 miles from house to trailhead on paved road.
