Historic town, great for food, drink and browsing. Also, on a practical note in an area with few supermarkets, it has Waitrose and Tesco
An attractive town with good shops and nice places to eat. A steam train runs from the town's station to Bodiam castle, which is an excellent day out. A tour of Chapel Down vineyard , with wine tasting is a trip well worth doing.
Nestled in the heart of the Weald of Kent, Tenterden, rich in history, has largely escaped modern development. It has an attractive, broad tree-lined High Street, brimming with interesting shops, & plenty of pubs & restaurants. The Steam train to Bodiam, starts its journey here. the Chapel Down…
(25 mins drive) Lovely little town with plenty of antique shops and nice cafes. Also the place to catch the Kent and East Sussex stream railway which runs to Bodiam Castle
