The Milwaukee Public Museum is a natural and human history museum located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The museum was chartered in 1882 and opened to the public in 1884; it is a not-for-profit organization operated by the Milwaukee Public Museum, Inc.
An excellent way to spend a day. It is small enough to be able to see it all in a day. There is an excellent butterfly exhibit that is permanent and happens to be supervised by my nephew.
Natural History Museum that hasn't been significantly updated since the 70s, which is why we love it! We especially love the "Old Streets of Milwaukee" and "European Village" exhibits, which are walk-through dioramas with cobblestone streets lined with cottages and storefronts you can peer into!
