The Sanford Riverwalk Trail follows the shoreline of Lake Monroe in Sanford, FL, north of Orlando. The riverwalk extends from US 17-92 to Mellonville Avenue and is one of the most scenic paved trails in the county, featuring views of Lake Monroe. The trail also provides access to historic downtown Sanford. Sanford Riverwalk Trail connects Lake Monroe with Wayside Park, Log Cabin Memorial Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Fort Mellon Park, Sanford City Hall, Seminole County Courthouse, Sanford Museum, a public boat ramp, Rivership Romance and the restaurants and shops of downtown Sanford.

Part of the sping-to-spring system in Central Florida. The last leg is being completed now (Fall/2019) and will complete the circle around Lake Monroe.

A pedestrian trail lining Lake Monroe that is almost 5 miles in length. Enjoy views of the marina, parks, and the downtown scene. There are benches and covered areas in certain areas on the trail however, the majority of the trail is uncovered. This is a great spot to watch the colorful sky during sunset!
