The top of Mount Sugarloaf presents an iconic view of the valley (pictured above). The mountain is located in Sunderland and there is a road to the top. It’s a steep hike that takes about 30 minutes, but the 360 views are worth every step!
Mount Sugarloaf offers breathtaking views of the Connecticut River Valley, a lookout tower, picnic spots, and hiking trails. You can drive up an easy paved road to the summit.
Drive or walk up- take a picnic or just observe from the top. It's a beautiful view any time of year.
Summit road open mid-May through mid-October. The summit of Mt. Sugarloaf offers amazing views of the Connecticut River Valley. The park is great for picnics, hiking, and mountain biking.
