Two blocks from the Panhandle, this combo cafe and bike shop is a great spot to fuel up before exploring Golden Gate Park. Somehow the smell of rubber from the back, where mechanics work on bikes pairs beautifully with the smell of coffee brewing up front. It’s not an internet cafe, so don’t ask about wifi, there is none—bring a book instead. At the Mojo it's all about the breakfast bagel sandwich. There are only a finite number of fresh bagels made each day, so go early to score one.

Sweet little neighborhood cafe. Indoor/outdoor seating. Check them out before you head to the Farmer's Market on Sunday at Grove and Divisadero.

Pizzeria
“The oozy, buttery deep-dish pies are not a carbon copy of some Chicago creation by any stretch. With topping possibilities like artichokes and goat cheese, they’re a distinctly California creation — and a drop-dead delicious one at that. Note: the menu recently welcomed some healthy seeming things like a roasted kale appetizer and a broccolini topped deep dish pie, but don’t miss the classic — with sausage, mushrooms, and green bell pepper — and the spicy chicken wings. ”

“ A small neighborhood music venue that plays host to lots of high profile artists. Catch a show and grab some late-night food after at Nopa next door. The Fillmore & The Chapel are also great local venues to see a concert.”
