"Walk along the sheer cliff tops of Phillip Island's most southerly point and be rewarded with superb panoramas of the island. Cape Woolamai is the highest point on Phillip Island and is also the largest shearwater rookery (mutton birds). Watch the daring surfers in action down on nearby Woolamai Surf Beach and keep an eye out for the burrows of the short-tailed shearwaters, small migratory birds that fly to Alaska each April. Explore the full Cape Woolamai Circuit, a combination of all three Cape Woolamai walking tracks, or try something a little shorter. All walks start from the information shelter at the carpark and follow the beach to the left for approximately 1-kilometre. Pinnacles walk (green markers) This track is approximately 4 kilometres in length with an estimated walking time of 2 hours return. Old Granite Quarry Walk (blue markers) This walk is approximately 6 kilometres in length with an estimated walking time of 3 hours return. Cape Woolamai Beacon Walk (black markers) This route is approximately 6.6 kilometres in length with an estimated walking time of 3.5 hours return." Content via Visit Victoria.

Cape Woolamai has a fantastic walking track that is not strenuous, and about 30 minutes into the walk you will get to see The Pinnacles - quite famous around here and featured in many aspiring and professional photographers portfolios - it is a challenge to get a good pic due to the lighting and reflection of the sun on the water at times!

Sitting atop the cliffs of the Bass Coast on a three acre headland with dramatic views of Cape Woolamai, our cottage is a wonderful place for a coastal holiday.

A serious surf beach. Big on atmosphere and true beach scenery. The walk around the headland offers the best views on the island with views back to San Remo and Newhaven - super special. It's an easy to moderate walk as well.

A fantastic walk, just a short distance from WM, You can walk along the beach to the track, or drive to the end of Cape Woolamai Rd, and start there. Breath taking, ocean air, great rock formations and you may see a whale during the season.
