Shere Punjab is authentic Indian food. Delicious! This is a date night place. The decor is Indian, but not overly nice. First impressions (visual) aren't all that great, but they rise to wow after tasting the entree. You choose your spice level when ordering, 1 is mild and 10 is hot. I usually choose 7 or 8, hot enough I can feel it in my ears, but not unbearable (or too hot I can't taste other flavors). Open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 11 AM - 3 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM. Open Friday and Saturday 11 AM - 10 PM. Open Sunday 12 PM - 10 PM. Closed Tuesday.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant of the two on Maine St, serving mostly Northern-style cuisine, open for lunch and dinner. Better spicing and atmosphere versus competition.
