This is a national monument with multiple structures created by the ancient Hohokam people. It's south of the area near the aptly named town of Casa Grande. Casa Grande is Spanish for "big house" and refers to a large 4-story structure at the location.

This National Park preserves an Ancient Sonoran Desert People farming community and “Great House.” Created as the nation’s first archaeological reserve in 1892, the site was declared a National Monument in 1918.

This historic National Park showcases an early Native dwelling, culture and early life. This is a senior friendly setting. The drive is also gorgeous. There is not a lot of to in the town of Casa Grande itself, but the locals recommend a good hole in the wall restaurant down the road, Rolberto's. It…
