Kaiyukan is one of the biggest aquariums you can visit in the world. They have a wide variety of sea animals to observe at many depths and angles along the aquarium path.

Osaka Aquarium (Kaiyukan) 海遊館 It is one of the world's largest - encompassing 286,000 square feet and containing 2.9 million gallons of water. It's constructed around the theme "Ring of Fire," which refers to the volcanic perimeter encircling the Pacific Ocean. You'll pass through 14 different habitats ranging from arctic to tropical. The walls of the aquarium tank are constructed of huge acrylic glass sheets, making you feel like you're immersed in the ocean. You'll see 35,000 specimens representing 380 species including two whale shark(ジンベイザメ), the largest fish in captivity.
