Rumeli Fortress, located in the district of Istanbul Sarıyer district of the Bosphorus. It was built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet directly opposite the Anatolian Fortress in order to prevent attacks that might come from the north of the Bosphorus before the conquest of Istanbul.

Rumeli Fort is one of my favourite spots in the city. It enjoys the most stunning views over the Bosporus, the Sultan Fatih bridge and Bebek. It's pure joy to stand over its walls and admire the scenery while being enchanted with the lush surroundings and the turquoise waters of the Bosporus…
