There is a very interesting museum at Groote Schuur Hospital all about the World's First Heart Transplant. The story behind this historical feat - really interesting but might be a little too much for little children - my then 10 year old sat outside the operating theatre as she felt the wax models…
Excellent museum with a recreated theatre where the first heart transplant took place. Well worth a visit. Unique and very interesting!
