Chapala is a short 45 minute ride from Guadalajara. It's a quaint little city around Lake Chapala, which is the largest lake in Mexico. You can go for a day trip or you can book a room at La Reserva Hotel which is right on the water.

Nearby Chapala has a gorgeous malecon on the Lake. It is known for its cultural festivities, restaurants, park areas and shops.

Love this city. There's Lots of shopping and interesting, beautiful artisans along the Malecon. Pretty crowded on the weekends as it's a destination for Guadalajarians.

Here you will find bars, coffee, restaurants, kid friendly, sightseeing, stores, groceries, arts and entertainment, wifi... its a great area!
