7 thatched cottages each one depicting Island life 100 years ago Flora MacDonald's Monument (Flora who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape to France) is in the graveyard next to the Museums as well as a Memorial Stone to Alexander MacQueen, the famous fashion designer, who was from Kilmuir.
Step back in time to an old Highland village… The museum offers visitors a unique experience and an insight into island life a 100 years ago.
This museum will show you how the people of Skye and the hebrideas lived for hundreds of years up untill the 1930s very good value for money.
