Walk around the historic and beautiful North Campus of the University of Georgia, the oldest public institution. Stop by the campus bookstore for all of your Georgia gear needs. Make sure stop by Herty Field and the Founder's Garden on your walk.
Great to have a bite to eat in the area surrounding this university that can claim it’s the very first chartered university in the USA. The campus grounds have great walkways very parklike. I took guests from Scotland to this area.
What is Athens without the University?! The northern part of campus, accessed via downtown through the arch, is the beautiful old part with flowerbeds, fountains and large trees. Beautiful to stroll through and sit or have a picnic.
The University of Georgia campus is a beautiful place to walk. It's adjacent to Downtown Athens, so it's easy to grab a bite and see some shops before you tour campus. On campus you can find secret gardens, fountains, the iconic Sanford Stadium, and the UGA bookstore.
