Swim in Lake Cascade, Mountain Lake, or at one of our public beaches (For a more secluded beach, check out Obstruction Pass State Park)
This is a sweet hike with a lovely surprise when you reach the turnaround part of the loop. Best pebbles anywhere! Take the lefthand loop for part of your hike -- it's worth it to extend your walk a little. Not sure of distance but it's a short hike.
Obstruction Pass State Park has a great (~1 mile) hike down to the soft gravel pocket beach where you can take in views of the Salish Sea and Obstruction Island and Blakely Island while ferries pass in the distance. A great place to pack a light picnic.

“Really good pizza, beautiful outdoor dining (limited indoor) overlooking Deer Harbor Marina. Nice folks. We love the seasonal squash pizza with caramelized onions and balsamic reduction. Also, the regulars like pepperoni and Hawaiian. Beer, wine and great beet salad.”
