This one speaks for itself. Whether you want to experience nature, watch otters and geese float down the East River, take a dip in the park pool, skate at skate park, run around a track, or simply see Manhattan from across the river, Astoria Park has it all. I love hosting arts and crafts picnics here with my friends or even by myself. Pro-tip: walk on the path along the water and you’ll find an opening to sit right on the rocks and water (do this at your own risk!). Walk outside the park to experience authentic restaurants and New York natives. In the summer, you can always find locals playing a volleyball at one of the nearby courts or people and dogs bonding at the dog park under the Triboro bridge. To get here, hop on the local Q69 bus or take a 5 minute car ride.

Gorgeous waterfront park with NYC's largest pool, a huge lawn for picnics, and a newly renovated track.

Large park with lovely views of Manhattan, Triboro Bridge, and Hellgate Bridge. It has a classic Art Deco public swimming pool in the summer, and a great playground as well.
