A fascinating place that is our equivalent to the Shaw Discovery Place in Sydney by the Sea. Also, they do a wonderful afternoon tea as well as other meals. The University's Chef students work along side the science students. The building itself is build to Green Leeds standards and looks like a giant clam. All kinds of events and courses happen here and it is a great conference centre or wedding venue.

A Shellfish Research Facility that is open to the public. They have touch tanks, aquariums, exhibits and activities to teach visitors about local marine life. (5 minute drive from the Beach House)
