There are so many wineries and all are wonderful in different ways. Bluemont = a view. Sitting at the top of the mountain and enjoying a glass of wine while taking in a breathtaking view. I'll take it any day. I've never had an issue with getting a table, but if you have a larger group, it would probably be smart (at least on the weekend!)

Fantastic views, decent wine, snacks, family-friendly, less than a 20 minute drive, can bring your own food, and right next door to Dirt Farm Brewery and across the street from Great Country Farm and Henway Hard Cider. Cons: Usually crowded and you must call in and make a reservation on Saturdays and Sundays.

Bluemont is a Loudoun County favorite. The views are some of the best you can find. The food is delicious and the wine just as fun. Some indoor seating but this is a place to enjoy the fresh mountain breeze and stunning views of the valley.
