Historic Fishtown is like stepping back in time and into a 1850's fishing village. Located right on Lake Michigan with plenty of shops and food choices for the whole family.
Leland is a magical little fishing village close to Traverse City. Spend the day visiting the historic shops, eat a world famous sandwich at the Cheese Shanty, drink a "Chubby Mary" at the Cove and then finish the day by stopping by Van's Beach.
Leland (aka "Fishtown") is a must-see when visiting the county. Don't miss the shopping in the old shanty town and definitely grab a sandwich or some gourmet cheese from the Village Cheese Shanty!
