Anyone can imagine being a Knight in olden days, at this amazing Castle, whether walking or riding through the Castle Gates, into the heart of the place. Although we might not be able to ride a companioned horse these days, we are able to, nonetheless, climb the battlements, walk the castle walls, and visit long disused dungeons - and whatever one's age, think back on that period, and think what one would have done if you had lived on those times!

The castle is a focal point of the village and a great place to view the whole village. Lovely grassy areas for picnics, and a place that hosts plays and local events. Well worth paying to go inside and learn about its history.
