The Distillery District is a must-see. Some of the best chocolate in Canada (SOMA), amazing restaurants, beautiful walking area, old cobblestone walkways, fantastic vaulted ceilings on coffee shops (Balzacs is gorgeous), lots of shops, design, art... great walking area.

High Park is 40 hectares (think massive, huge, a couple of miles across). There are rivers, streams, a lake, an outdoor ampitheatre, restaurant in the middle of the park, ice cream stands, and wonderful waterfalls to walk beside, as well as a small zoo, a tiny train, and a truly spectacular wooden climbing and play area for the kids, that is unparalleled in the city. It's massive, with many turrets, walkways, and various kind of play areas, and is quite remarkably built.
