High Park spans 161 hectares, and is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting facilities, cultural facilities, educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo. From the Loft you can take the subway 1 stop then transfer to a streetcar. It will take 1 hr on the streetcar but it is a great way to see the various ethnic communities eg. Little Indian, Chinatown, etc.If you buy a TTC day pass you can get on and off the transit as many times as you want.

Reconstructed after a major battle in April 1813, the fort now has several authentic structures still intact, including two square blockhouses, two sets of soldier barracks, two magazines, officers’ barracks and the outer gate. Built to be practical more than aesthetic, Fort York still brings history back to life. It takes 35-40 minutes to get there from the Loft.
