Casa Loma was built by Sir Henry Pellat for the Queen's Own Rifles. Interestingly it actually sits on the original shore line of Lake Ontario which runs along a road called Davenport. Don't miss the stables up the street also.

Try the Katsu Don. On the Menu it is called Pork Don. Or try the Soon Tofu Chi Gae or Pul Gogi. Really fun cool place
Don't go after 10PM. Perhaps the best time to go is 4 PM and after weekdays.

The music is cool baby boomer aimed American tunes that rock the most near the front windows.
After Krispy, I recommend going to Silverstein's Bakeryup the street for some Fresh bread. Just order the bread, pay cash whatever the baker tells you to pay for the bag of bread. Very fun. Krsipy Kreme is great for artistic inspiration.

The Pilot has jazz Sundays and carries a lot of the history of Yonge Street on the photos on the wall. In addition, The pilot is simply the cool place to hang, either inside on one of the floors, or outside in the spring summer and fall on the patio.

We went to Cafe Diplomatico last night. So the restaurant was playing an Italian TV feed of the soccer game from Europe including Messi's team. So this was fantastic. Very special. The food was good, and the service was also good.

We went to Myrt's restaurant with our friend. The food is great there. Also they have cool photographs on the wall of northern scenes. And the chairs have moose pictures sown into the design.

The coolest thing about the restaurant is the communal table that you can enjoy a cappucino and croissant at. The table is about 3-5 inches think. As thick as your hand. So you can see the grain on the table and it is varnished. Super cool.

Getting Around
Great Cars. Almost always clean. You can see the car before you rent it because the cars are on the ground level. If you don't like the one you are offered, simply wait for another one.

The stairs to the station are just as you turn left on to the sidewalk, past Boyd's Barbershop. I think the current fare is about 3.50$ CAD. You can also buy a day pass. There are apps for the TTC. if you would like to check schedules.

You can arrive from the airport shuttle into Union, walk to Tourism Ontario, and then have a snack at McDonald's or Tim Horton's coffee shop before you either catch an Uber or Taxi on the street, or use the subway (3$.25 CAD underground to our place.
The last stop from YYZ on the shuttle is Union Station.
Walking north to our place takes me about fifteen to twenty minutes, but might take you twenty to twenty five. If you arrive on week days cut through all the huge banks on the way up.
