Fantastic location - in the proper old town, but much better to be in this location, close to restaurants etc, than up in the castle. Lovely old house, with plenty of space and a fantastic balcony. Very helpful owner.

This apartment is a real pearl in the middle of the old town (Mangalemi) of Berat. The house, the balcony and the view are amazing. You have to carry up your luggage through the small ways up the hill, but it's worth it because the location is very special. The hosts renewed the old house all by themselves and therefore you can see that they love their place and take care of the house and their guests. A beautiful historic house in the old muslim quarter in Berat. Perfect location to explore the city and surrounding. The house is very old, but has been restored with a lot of detail. It has a lot of soul. Although it was very hot (around 40 degrees) we could sleep easily even without the need of air conditioning. The balcony is amazing and gives a great view. Historically located big house with a nice view. Short walk to restaurants by the river. Lively town center. Close to the castle. The hosts brother Dorian was wonderful and responsive.

The stunning view of the Berat skyline from the terrace of this holiday home alone is worth staying here. But there are more reasons: the vintage charm of this lovingly restored ancient house, and the hospitality of Dori who not only made us feel at home but talked to us at length on all things Albanian. Recommended!
