The fully equipped house includes a chef’s kitchen, high-end finishes, local art, and a blend of modern/vintage charm, making for a truly memorable stay.

Thompson Cabin- Lake Front

Come stay at our newly remodeled family lake cabin located on Cain Lake. Extra love was put into this place as it has been passed down the generations. Open concept from the kitchen to the dining room into the living room overlooking the lake. Extra family room perfect for game night. Venture outside to the large deck surrounded by bliss. Take it all in down at the large dock with views of the rest of the lake. This cabin is not perfect but is dear to our heart so please treat it like your own.

The Forest Hermitage of Turtle Haven Sanctuary

The Forest Hermitage is part of Turtle Haven Sanctuary nearby and has a specific purpose of providing inspiration and retreat for artists, writers, naturalists, and those drawn to stillness and inner contemplation, in need of rest, and renewal. The two-story structure is located in a forest grove on several wooded acres, across the road from a view of the Nooksack River and valley. This Pacific Northwest corner is renowned for its spawning salmon in season, abundant eagles, and other wildlife.

Lake Whatcom Home | Epic Lake Views, Kayaks & AC

Forget your cares in this spacious, serene, meticulously clean home with unbeatable lake views from every room! Spruce Treehouse Nature Retreat

This is a cozy off-grid treehouse with a large window overlooking the forest. The treehouse is minimally furnished, with a queen bed, a small side table & fan (no heat). This treehouse has a lower covered-deck which is currently unavailable. There are two other treehouses nearby, but the treehouses still feel private. Guests have access to BBQ, firepit, bathhouse with sinks, toilets, shower. Lots of hiking nearby. 1 hr to Mt Baker. Relax, listen to the owls, and feel connected and restored

Rustic Retreat

Quiet, private, secluded home on 25 acres of forested land. The home was built from logs milled on site. Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

Designed as a nod to my heritage, Skoghus ('forest house' in Norwegian) was crafted for relaxation, and reconnecting with nature. The treehouse sits in the centre of a Scottish Highland cattle farm, with pasture and forest in all directions. From the yard, you'll be able to observe and engage with the farm's cattle when they come by. Inside, you can disconnect and unwind, with luxury amenities. The dwelling is completely unique and provides a very special feeling while living in the trees.

Property is on a wooded 5 acres in a rural coltisac of a dead-end road near Cain Lake in Alger. Minutes to Lake Whatcom and Sudden Valley. About 20 minutes to Bellingham, Sedro Woolley, and Burlington, 15 minutes to Galbraith Mountain, and an hour to Mt. Baker. 20 minutes to popular Bow/Edison. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking around!
