The Woodlands of the Shire in the Woods

I loved staying here, the house was so private and peaceful, a beautiful area for walking and so relaxing to get some quiet time in the woods. Plus beautiful colored fresh eggs from the chickens! Thanks for everything!

Stunning Lake Mille Lacs Getaway

Great spot for a group of guys, family, you name it. Played some pool, sat in the sauna, played poker by the fireplace. Pretty much shares a driveway with Mac’s Twin Bay so we could hop on and off the ice easily. Johnson’s is right down the road for anything you need. Sweet cabin.

We recently made the trek to Aitkin area for some family events and wanted a rental that fit all of our family but also had a view. Even though it was still frozen, the lake was a beautiful back drop. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with anything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked our own meals and everything worked great. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake! Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. We had 12 adults and a baby staying here and there was plenty of room to mingle and a place for everyone to sleep. The host was responsive and very friendly. We came to Hill City for a wedding and enjoyed having our family at this home, and our extended family in the unit just downstairs. The surroundings were beautiful and we went on several scenic walks. I definitely recommend this Airbnb.

Highland House- Stunning Retreat on Big Sandy!

Michelle’s place was perfect for my daughter and I. We selected it for the wood burning fireplace and, hopefully, snow. There WAS snow and the fireplace was fabulous! The view of the lake was lovely, and Michelle and her family decorated the home beautifully for the holidays. I got the primary bedroom with the bathroom with the huge, deep tub (had a large shower as well). The enormous kitchen and all bathrooms were well stocked. We even got to take advantage of the downstairs workout room. We were there for seven days and enjoyed each and every day!

Lake house near many ATV and snowmobile trails

House was just the right size for our family. Lake was great and we enjoyed the kayaks. The fire pit was well stocked. Only downside was the road noise, but the view of the lake more than made up for it. Trevis is a wonderful host and responded to me promptly throughout our stay! Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Kayleb's place. We really liked the location and how close it was to get to the water. The kids had fun swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The house was very clean and comfortable. Kayleb was extremely responsive and polite. Definitely recommend!

Cozy lake house for an all season get away!

Wonderful place for family to play cards, fish, kayak and relax. Large back yard for our dogs. Great large kitchen to prepare meals. Everything was clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning for another weekend.

Jacob's place is a great place: secluded, comfy, relaxing - great for hot tub dips followed by snow angels - The reading nook is cozy, the "eagle's nest" is a kid favorite to climb up and read. The fire place adds a nice ambiance & warmth to evenings. The giant windows let you enjoy sunsets and on clear nights, unobstructed view of the stars - walking out one evening, we even were able to see the Milky Way If you are looking for nature and quiet with a good book followed by star gazing at night in a hot tub with a scotch, this is the place - we have 3 kiddos between the ages of 6 and 13 and they all enjoyed the place as much as we did. Thanks Jacob!
