Cabin #2 - The Elm of Kal-Haven Outpost

Nearly everything contained in these cabins has been handmade on site. From the knotty pine paneling throughout, to the queen headboards, to the buffet, and the shoeracks (several cabins also have our handmade farmhouse tables/benches), we have placed our best foot forward in showing our guests true Southwest Michigan hospitality. The 6 cabins are located on our 50 acre property just 5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The adjoining Kal-Haven Trail also offers a scenic ride into the downtown!

Lake Michigan Moon Barn

Welcome to your home away from home that we lovingly call the Moon Barn. We are situated in between South Haven and Saugatuck just a mile away from a hiking trail with public access to a Lake Michigan beach. Our home was built in remembrance of a family barn that sat on this location generations ago. It has natural barn wood and art works integrated throughout the house. Downstairs has a complete kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with a gas fire place, full bathroom, and a piano!

Oval Beach Cabin by 500 acre wooded/dune preserve

2 private bedrooms, 2 loft spaces, sleeps 8. Surrounded by conservation and wildlife. It is a rustic and eclectic, recently refinished 70’s cabin. It is surrounded by woods and trails and easily accessed by road. For the adventurous, Oval beach is a 1/4 mile hike through the woods west “as the crow flies” or east is the chain ferry which delivers you to downtown Saugatuck. * Please refer to “Oval Beach and Saugatuck Details” in the description for more details about access to Oval Beach

This 60-acre estate features private beachfront, beach deck, firepit & hiking trails. This home can host 6 adults. Enjoy the elevated deck and rooms with plenty of lake views. Our neighboring Main House sleeps an additional 10 adults and shares the yard and private beach. Homes are separated by a dune for privacy. We have a listing for both properties on Airbnb.
