Close to the quaint fishing village of Appledore, with it’s bustling quayside and ferry across to Instow. A 10 minute walk to the coast path. The cottage is ideal for couples, families and friends any time of the year. Northam with it’s shops, fish & chips, Chinese take away, pub and restaurant, is a great base to explore the wonderful North Devon Coast.

This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. The beautiful rural village of Weare Giffard meanders along the banks of the river Torridge. The accommodation can be found nestled in the garden of the old village school with lovely views of the river and woods beyond. The compact accommodation is designed to make the most of the surrounding scenery. The Garden Room is but a stones throw from the Tarka Trail which provides over 70 miles of traffic-free cycling or walking. The North Devon coast and it’s beaches are a short drive away.

Woolstone Cottage is situated in the hillside village of Ashford with views over The River Taw. It is a 10 minute walk from The Tarka Trail with traffic free cycling, walking and running alongside the river. The trail connects to the market town of Barnstaple and the village of Braunton with its surf shops and cafes. The Heanton Court Inn is within walking distance along the trail. Saunton Sands beach is only a 15 minute drive with its three and half miles of golden sands and surf.

We hope that you maybe able to park your car on arrival and not need to use it again during your stay. Access up the lane next to the house to wonderful panoramic walks and views of Baggy Point. We hope its a perfect place to rest those sandy feet and unwind after a full day of sea air.
