Fantastic yurt that is tucked away at the end of a trail system. Beautiful views of Wheeler are just a few steps away. As mentioned in other reviews, both yurt and toilet are very well maintained and clean. Will be staying again

I absolutely loved this sweet sanctuary of a space! Literally walking distance to everything. The bathroom is shared and was SO clean. Loved having the sauna there, the hammock, and a space for morning meditation. Everyone else who was staying there was so friendly, also. Felt like a sweet little community! Can't wait to come back.

Awesome stay! A great little spot that's like camping but still has lots of amenities. Well worth it over a hotel room or condo.

Id like to say thank you to Ellen for hosting us, The little John Yurt was an amazing stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice cozy little spot with everything one needs, while there is not electricity on site there is a gas powered lantern which worked wonderfully, the wood stove kept us tosty at night & the cook stove did its job making us coffee in the morning. Increadibly peaceful surroundings with amazing views. The walk in is about 1.25 miles along a nicely graded logging road, I think most anyone could easily make the walk, even children. To sum it up, we enjoyed our stay and I the wife and I will be back next time were in town. Thanks, Ellen!

The yurt was exactly as described! We got there after dark and we easily found the yurt after following Ellen's very detailed instructions. I would highly recommend it if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Susan was a great host! She responded quickly to my questions and was more than accommodating with my plans to stay in a yurt. This is the second time in my life. She greeted us when we arrived and gave an explanation about the property…. Including the history. I love that stuff. There is a barn that has WiFi and some other amenities. It’s not a long walk. The yurt is pretty much like staying in a very large tent, but nicer. It was a quick trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would love to go back with my family when we can. Thanks, Susan!

It was quite the experience. We really enjoyed ourselves. The land was beautiful. I would recommend the experience. Our host was really nice and welcoming.

The “Round House” was so cutely decorated and cozy! Katie provided everything you could need. (The weather was cold-the mattress warmer was a happy surprise!!). The view was wonderful. All around great stay!!

We came here for my birthday and loved it! The hot tub was nice to hangout in at night. The trail was beautiful, the scenery all around was beautiful. 😍 Very peaceful. We also enjoyed hanging out on the deck and drinking coffee. Will definitely return and recommend!

If you’re looking for a quiet, but intimate and special place to disconnect from the rest of the world: this is it! The host was great and responded within minutes of reaching out. We will most definitely be coming back.

This was a fabulous place to stay for us! We were in town visiting family that lives nearby and it was perfect for 3 adults. Bob was most helpful to make sure we had everything we needed. The yurt was off the beaten path, but very easy to find with Apple Maps, about 30 minutes from ABQ airport. They had everything we needed for our stay- all the basic amenities were available. The views from the outdoor seating area were great- we were able to watch the sunrise over the mountains each morning, followed by a steam in the sauna. Our days were spent hiking the nearby trails, and it was a short drive to the Sandia Mountains- a MUST SEE for the views! There are some gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants within about a 15 minute drive, but you are at the base of the mountains, so options are limited- something to keep in mind depending on what you're visiting for. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely keep this spot in mind when we come back!

Yurta with everything you need for a pleasant stay in the mountains. We slept amazingly, the bed is very comfortable and the bed linen of very good quality, pure cotton. Thank you for that. Well located. Pamela had many beautiful details that made the difference. Fresh eggs, delicious brownies and responded quickly. We will stay again without a doubt! Thank you Pamela!

We were looking for a private getaway and it was awesome. There was another cabin close by but it was far enough to not be intrusive. The surroundings were peaceful. The blue velvet provided the exact back drop we were looking for.

Such an awesome place to stay! I wish we could have stayed longer! Very nice space with everything you need. Secluded area but close to a lot in Springfield. Highly recommend if you like a little bit of glamping!

Staying at Chris’s yurt 🛖 was a phenomenal experience, especially since there was a solar storm the first evening that we were there and we actually got to see the northern lights from just outside the front door. Quiet and peaceful is exactly what we needed and it was all of that and more. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

The communication with host is easy and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay in this unique yurt. We hope we could come back and explore the surrounding more next time!

Me and my wife spent the day here and it was absolutely amazing! Host was very respectful and super nice! 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a getaway with no electronic devices! We spent hours playing all the board games they had! Will definitely be back in the near future

Great location and felt like glamping in true fashion. The bathrooms are remarkably clean, the other guests staying there were really friendly, and the bbq was a pleasant perk. Also, the bed is SO comfy inside the yurt. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our time at the yurt. The yurt was lovely, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the weekend. The surroundings and the view were stunning, especially with the fall colors. Secluded and quiet, but close enough to Salida and Buena Vista for groceries and restaurants. We can't wait to come back next year!

This yurt in Crestone was a simple and cozy place to stay for one night. Everything went smoothly with check-in and finding the place, and getting settled in and around the area. Nothing too fancy but the amenities worked out for what we needed and the one night we stayed.
