Our private apartment is a lovely retreat on a country road with mountain views. Come rest and rejuvenate in our quiet getaway or enjoy a scenic walk. We offer a full efficiency with wifi, Dish, and flatscreen TV for your enjoyment. Full kitchen, washer, dryer, and private patio for your use. We are located just three minutes from Sweet Briar College, 20 minutes from Liberty University, and 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to restaurants and downtown Amherst. Various orchards and historical landmarks dot the landscape. Come and enjoy!

This unique and secluded cabin sits on 75 acres in the Blue Ridge mountains. Enjoy the cozy wood fireplace, hot tub, charcoal grill, and fast, reliable fiberoptic internet if you need to get some work done while you're away. It has a washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and is pet-friendly (no pet fee!), so you can enjoy it with the whole family. There is a 4K 55” smart TV with apps, a Tesla LVL 2 charger, a cabinet full of board games, books, and plenty of items to entertain both kids and adults!

Tucked into a quiet cove with hiking nearby, frequent wildlife sightings, and peaceful nights under the stars. Ideally set for exploring Nelson’s Craft Beverage Trail. Enjoy the sunrise over a horse pasture, the sounds of nature, and the brightest stars in Virginia. Our Non-Functioning Family Farm is on the side of a mountain with fresh spring water. On the grounds you have a Hot Tub, Barn, Private Gym, Playground, Fire-pit, Hammock, Acres to Roam, Multiple Decks, etc. A quick ~10 minute walk to the Falling Rock Bridge on the Tye River for fishing, kayaking, tubing, or looking for Otters! Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

Scenic cabin with direct hiking to N Forest and AT

Secluded cabin on 11 acres of land adjacent to George Washington National Forest at 3k elevation. Fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin with heat, AC, WiFi, and wood stove. Queen-size bed downstairs / full-size with a trundle upstairs. Extra fee for guests 5 & 6. The third “bedroom” is a detached micro cabin with a bunk bed (heat only). Four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Direct hiking from cabin to AT. Level 2 EV charger (30amp 240V) available upon request for $5 fee per night.

Guesthouse for ADULTS ONLY/ NO kids/pets located in Lovingston, VA. There are wineries, breweries, and distilleries. We have the Wintergreen Ski Resort. The Music Festival in October. Crabtree Falls and Humpback Rock for hiking. In Nelson Co., the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyland Drive began. Nearby is UVa's Rotunda, Monticello, Appomattox, DC, Schuyler (the Waltons). Nelson hosts peach and apple festivals each year. The beautiful foliage to be seen in the fall and winter snowy mountains.

A private apartment in the hills of Nelson County is located in an addition to the owner's rustic home. The property is surrounded by forest and stream with a mountain view. The Blue Ridge Mountains, the James River, Wintergreen, Infinity Downs , and Charlottesville are all within easy driving distance. A great rural location, perfect for nature lovers and birdwatchers. The owners are a resource for information on the area and can provide recommendations on attractions and activities.

The Nelson 29 and Nelson 151 craft beverage trails await you, while plenty of hiking, fishing, and mountain views will appease any outdoor recreation lover or nature enthusiast, making it the perfect getaway.

Charming 1930’s Soapstone Workers' Bungalow

Charming Renovated 1930's Soapstone Workers' Bungalow Relaxing, peaceful getaway in gorgeous Nelson County. Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!
