Mammaloes is not close to the beach. It is in a beautiful area, but keep in mind that you might want to rent a car. You can rent bicycles at Mammaloes, but should you prefer to chill on the beach or get to know the island, then there rental picnic coolers, snorkeling gear and beach chairs are ready to be picked up at the reception. Here you can buy wine, beer, soft drinks, water and souvenirs as well; the daily reception opening hours are from 9 am until noon.
