George Washington Swoope, Jr. - Inn at MeadowCroft

We are a family run bed and breakfast in a restored circa 1795 hand-hewn log cabin decorated with period antiques. The room contains a queen bed w/Beautyrest mattress with the linens provided. In addition to the log cabin walls the room has hand sewn exposed beams. The bathroom has an enclosed tile shower with towels and toiletries provided. For those chilly mornings the room has heated reclaimed wood floors. If you are interested in relaxing there is a porch with a porch swing and rocking chairs, perfect for a tall glass of sweet tea sipping and just taking in the view of the rolling hills. The room also includes a coffee maker and coffee, a refrigerator and Wifi. Your stay comes with a locally sourced plated breakfast served at 8:00-9:30am in our on-site dining room. We are happy to accommodate your low fat, restrictive, or vegetarian dietary restrictions. Please give notice when you book your room. Also we are part of Meadowcroft Farm a 300 acre farm with cattle and sheep. The hill directly behind the inn is a perfect spot lay out a blanket and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set or gaze up at the stars.

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind bed & breakfast. The log house features a timber beam living/dining room with stone fireplace, a separate library/game room, front porch and back patio. Each bedroom includes a queen-size bed with fine linens and comforter, robe, closet and chair. Your private bath includes spa-like towels, organic toiletries, and hairdryer. The house is air-conditioned and includes wi-fi. A delicious multi-course breakfast is prepared for guests each morning.

The Red Room at Heritage Hill Bed & Breakfast

The Red Room is located on the second floor and is a very spacious room with sunrise views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The red, navy, and tan color palette pays tribute to our Nation's history. The King size spindle bed is fitted with fine linens and a daybed is also available for up to 2 additional guests. The room features a non-working fireplace. The bathroom has a large shower, heated floors and luxurious towels. Also included are plush robes, remote control candles, and TV w/ Roku.

Unique StrawBale EcoHome Farm 70 acres

It's time for stargazing and pastoral views on our rooftop deck. The big house is minutes from where the Blue Ridge Parkway meets Skyline Drive and Rockfish Valley's 5 wineries, 3 breweries, cidery and distillery. Our site offers pastoral views and hikes in the forest on our 70 acres near the Shenandoah Valley. You’ll be learning about this straw-bale constructed eco-centric home. Our free range hens provide fresh eggs for your breakfast. (This is an extra fee during our busy season. )

Studio Cabin at Penmerryl Farm

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind Log Cabin Studio. We call it, The Cabin-ette. Featuring a King Sized bed, well appointed kitchen, comfortable seating area, and casual dining area, the Cabin-ette is great for extended stays or just a couple of nights. Breakfast is included (hot breakfast service is available from March - December), along with access to the pool, trail system, pavilion, tavern, lake and the remainder of the 130 acre estate/farm.

Joshua Wilton House - Room 5: The Lavender Room

The Lavender Room features soft purple walls, tall ceilings, and a comfortable king-sized bed. Charming purple and gold accents are a nod to our local university, JMU. You can enjoy local artwork, as well as the home's blueprints that adorn the walls. The bathroom features a shower/bathtub combination, and dark purple walls. A writing desk is there if you'd like to get some work done, and two window-side chairs for an intimate evening overlooking the town.

Joshua Wilton House - Room 1: The Study

This stunning Victorian bedroom overlooks our private patio and garden. Tall ceilings, exposed brick, and red walls give this spacious room a warm, cozy feel. Enjoy the king-sized bed, antique writing desk, and browse our book collection at your leisure. The bathroom features a shower/bathtub combination, one of only two bathtubs in the home. This is one of the largest out of our five rooms, so if you're looking for room to stretch out, look no further!

Hiker's Hideaway in a Rustic Grist Mill Inn

The Hiker's Hideway, a room with a private bathroom overlooks the Mill's massive Fritz water wheel. It is furnished with a king bed, sitting area, smart TV (complimentary YouTube TV), usb chargers, free coffee, tea, water, and access to free WiFi. Linens and toiletries are provided. Please note this suite is NOT pet friendly. The cabin is our only pet-friendly option. The suite is also on the 2nd floor up the original (steep) stairs of the Mill house.

Hummingbird Room is part of a Bavarian Style Village with cobble-stone streets, draw bridge, movie theater, gym, gift store, spa, hot tub and more. We are located just half a mile to Wintergreen Ski Resort, Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. Five miles down the road is the Devils Backbone Brewery and other wineries and restaurants. Delicious hot breakfast is included.
