Baker : locations de vacances

Geweldige locatie. Zicht langs de ene kant op Great Basin NP. Langs de andere kant de vlakte met daarachter de volgende bergketen. En langs de zijkanten idem. Geweldig voor zonsopgang en zonsondergang. Vlakbij belangrijkste toegangsweg NP. Zeer verzorgde accommodatie. Heel schoon. Niet heel groot, maar zeker groot genoeg en de weidsheid van het landschap geeft genoeg ruimte ;) De gastvrouw, Patricia, is zeer attent, heel vriendelijk, prima uitleg over huis en NP. We werden zelfs uitgenodigd op de lokale bbq. Geweldig. Aanrader als je van rust houdt. Ook het NP is zeker de moeite. Heel mooie wandelingen en heel rustig.

Kim’s place is… …An Elegant Log Cabin experience, very comfortable/cabinly/homey, you will want to “just move in and stay for much longer than you booked it for”…

Very cool place, exactly as described. Would be a great place to rent for a hunting trip. Will be back!

The Cabin in the Clouds is a great launching pad for visiting Great Basin National Park. It is out of the way and in a beautiful location, yet a short distance from the park. I loved standing on the deck, looking across the way as the sun rose over the mountains. Absolutely beautiful.

After some bad experiences with RVs, I was reluctant to book a studio; my wife reminded me, “It’s just three nights, and it looks so cute!” I gave in (again.) And I’m so glad I did! The Mountain Suite feels bigger than I expected. The one couch - very comfortable, as is the bed. Chilly night and cool days, but it heated up beautifully. Plenty of room for the two of us. Bathroom is small, but the shower was a decent size; everything worked and plenty of hot water. Kitchen worked great for us; nicely stocked. But the views: from the patio out front, it was gorgeous. Covered seating area was a good place to unwind after a full day of hiking, and lovely for a morning cup of coffee. We were about 15 minutes north of Baker, and the main visitor center for the park, but I’d gladly make that drive any day. Kim was responsive and pleasant as we texted; it would have been good to meet her. But she, and The Mountain Suite, have redeemed studios for me. We’d gladly book with her again.

What a wonderful lodge! The surroundings were gorgeous with views of the mountains and endless landscape of junipers and desert flora all around. Not to mention the Great Basin Park was literally right around the corner - I don't think it's possible to stay closer unless you were camping. The suite with shared kitchen was really well organized and decorated (loved the photo prints, some truly exceptional local photography). The entire space was also SPOTLESS - I am seriously impressed at how clean the place was given how much dust and dirt must woft around the area. Janile was also very a responsive and gracious host. 100% would stay again!

This place is spectacular! The view, no matter the time of day, was breathtaking (I even got up for sunrise)! The furniture and arrangements are comfortable and the kitchen is well-appointed. We met family here and captured two of the other accommodations in the lodge. It was the perfect place for a weekend reunion, especially with the game room for the teens.

Cute and Cozy cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Nicely decorated giving a homey feel to the place. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
