I am situated about 20 minutes from the village of Waterville and about 20 minutes from the town of Cahersiveen.

Other nearby sight seeing locations include torc waterfall, muckross abbey, ladies view & Ross castle. Horse & cart tours can be arranged with notice.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

A beautiful rural retreat in stunning West Cork

With Bantry 6km away, a short hop in the car or bike, we offer an annexe to our main home. The bedroom has spectacular views over the Mealagh Valley. There is a kitchen with the usual equipment, solely for visitors, and a shower room. Wifi is available. We are surrounded by green fields, peace and quiet. It's a wonderful place for walking and cycling. Weather permitting, after a long day's walk, it's time to relax on the patio sofas with a good book and perhaps a G&T.

Just 10–15 minutes from Portmagee harbour and Skellig Michael boat departures, and close to Valentia Island, the Ring of Kerry, beaches and coastal walks. Not suitable for groups, families, parties, or hotel-style stays.
