Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

During your stay in the penthouse at One City Plaza, you can enjoy the convenience of downtown living in a quiet, secure 1600 sq. ft. apartment. This place has original hardwood floors, exposed 11-foot ceilings, and large windows spanning across the entire length of the apartment offering picturesque views of the city skyline against a background of Appalachian Mountains. This space offers two king size beds, game room, and a fully equipped kitchen to accommodate any length of stay.

Unwind in a spacious tiny home on a working farm with vegetables, herbs, fruits, dairy goats, sheep, and chickens. Enjoy the views, farm fresh food, local hiking and swimming holes, or if it's cold, cozy up by the wood stove! We offer sliding scale farm-to-table dinners on weekends. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Virginia's Triple Crown Lodge (Shuttle)

This newly renovated barn loft is located a 0.3 mile walk from the AT and just off the Transamerica Trail (cycling). This secluded retreat is located within 20 miles of Blacksburg, Fincastle, Daleville, Salem, and Roanoke. The host is an experienced AT hiker and offers shuttle service to local trailheads, grocery stores, laundromats, etc. The first 20 miles are complimentary, with a $0.67 fee per additional mile. Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
