My husband and I needed some solitude and beauty in our lives, and chose the McKenzie River Studio. We made this decision based in the river view, cowboy hot tub, pictures of the place and private setting. The positive reviews are on point. Based on the reviews I brought a role of paper towels and two large towels for the hot tub, and I’m glad that I did. Owners notified us ahead of time that the small cowboy tub was out of service, but told us that we were welcome to use the other one that was in close proximity and larger. We received a super quick response to an issue and were able to use the tub on our last night. Relaxing in that tub while watching the river and being surrounded by beautiful trees was a wonderful experience, especially after a full day in the chill. Highly recommend this sweet little cabin!

Gorgeous location, had everything we needed. Love the quiet surroundings and cozy feel. We can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay at Chris’s cabin. The property is nice and was a great place for our dogs to run around. Kitchen is well stocked. I visited the area 15 years ago and loved and didn’t know about the fire a few years ago so it was sad to see how much the area changed, but it was still beautiful.

the place was better than described!! very quiet and relaxing, very clean and an over all beautiful home. would definitely love to stay again one of the best I have been at.

We were in the area for a wedding. Sandra's place was one of the better places I found. It was clean and in a great location not far off of the highway and close to our venue. I wish that we had packed a cooler of food as there is not a grocery store in the area so we had to eat out which was pretty limited, but we made it work. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of throw blankets for lounging on the couch since it poured rain the entire time we were there. We would recommend this as a great place to stay if you're in the area. Just remember you are VERY remote, so pack food, not just snacks (the Chevron has plenty of those)

Very cozy and clean cabin. The reservoir is across the highway from the place and it was easy to find things to do and see. The bathtub was fabulous and we especially loved the breakfast nook. The beds were uber comfie! The 3-Star rating for communication is for Evolve, the property manager as I relied on the property owner and her daughter for information-they were so helpful and kind. Definitely would stay here again!

A fantastic little cabin overlooking the river! We had a wonderful time exploring the area. Quick drive to the Terwilliger Hot Springs! Quiet and cozy cabin. Would definitely visit again.

What a place! The best part of the stay was being in such a serene setting. The cabin did the job. The outdoor showers overlooking the river were amazing, and we enjoyed the sauna too. As others mentioned, our cell provider doesn't cover the area, and we could only get wifi from Steve's home if we held the phone in particular spots (or walked 50 feet toward his house). This was actually a big plus, as it helped everyone in our group set down the phones, unplug, and be present in nature. Loved it!

My family and I live in downtown LA and we often try to get away from the city. This place was absolutely beautiful. Just what we needed, peace on the river with gorgeous views and being surrounded by Mother Nature. Would love to come again. Thank you for hosting us!

Absolutely amazing! Exactly as described. There were so many hiking trails, waterfalls, and hot springs nearby that you won’t be bored if that’s what you’re looking for. The pub down the street has amazing food! I’d recommend picking up some food at a grocery store if you’re coming from either direction but other than that, they have everything you need. The place was spotless, the grounds are immaculate. I would definitely go again. The cabin is absolutely adorable and leaves you wanting nothing more.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at The Carriage House. The location was peaceful and beautiful tucked up against a forested hill. The unit itself was completely charming. We found the king bed to be rather comfortable and could have imagined ourselves staying longer. It was overall a very easy and pleasant experience.

Nice cozy cabin, looks over grassy field and woods. Beautifully laid fire in the fireplace, took one match to light. Nice to just walk in and find the key on the hook. Great stay.

It was a beautiful place and Bonnie and Steve were gracious hosts! Always responsive and super friendly. the cabin itself was wonderful! We will definitely be staying here again when we are in the area.

This cozy cabin offered the perfect wilderness retreat! The log cabin charm, beautiful views, and proximity to Foster Reservoir made for a memorable stay. The gas fireplace kept us warm during spring showers, and the deck was perfect for morning coffee. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Our dogs loved exploring the surrounding forest trails. The location strikes an ideal balance - secluded enough for peace and quiet, yet just a short drive to Sweet Home for supplies. This was my fourth stay here, which speaks to how much I enjoy this special place. The natural setting with wildlife sightings and stargazing opportunities can't be beat. A genuine Oregon experience that I'd happily return to again and again. Perfect for nature lovers seeking a true forest getaway!

Had a great weekend at this cabin hosted by David at McKenzie river. It is always very peaceful to come up here and this was no exception. David was very responsive and helpful when we ran into a minor self inflicted issue and we enjoyed the stay very much. Will for certain be back next year!
