Hoe fijn is het dat je op reis ‘thuiskomt’?! In de accommodatie van Heiðrún is het precies dat!! Ruim, schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien, zoals een uitgebreide keuken, wasmachine, lekkere douche, uitstekende en gezellige zitkamer en prachtige buitenruimte. Aanvullend is dit een geheel privé en vrijgelaten huisje. Ik voelde me alleen op de wereld: exact waar we naar op zoek waren. En dan tot slot die jacuzzi… heerlijk! Met temperaturen rond het vriespunt in een 40-graden bad genieten… en met een beetje geluk: het noorderlicht ✳️ Nogmaals dank!!

Fabulous place with breath-taking views of the mountains, short stroll to a peaceful lake, soothing mineral water in the hot tub, and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect for a 2 or 3 family visit, with toys and books for kids. A great home base for exploring Iceland. Ragnhildur and Astridur are gracious hosts.

Very beautiful house in a very private location. All Information on how to find it were provided so we even found it at night since we arrived there at 3am. We found it to be bigger in real life than it looked in the pictures which was a positive suprise. Especially the living room and the upper floor bedroom.

Bjarney et Manuel sont des hôtes merveilleux et ils proposent une cabane tout équipée et isolée comme nous le souhaitions. Nous avons visité la péninsule Snaefellsnes et le centre de l'Islande du côté des glaciers : l'emplacement était idéal pour ces excursions. Je recommande ce logement et j'espère pouvoir y revenir lors de notre prochain séjour en Islande !

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van onze twee nachtjes bij Vilmundur. Wat een paradijs, mooier en leuker dan op de foto's. Lekker ruim, gezellig ingericht, hele fijne buitenruimte. Ook super voor onze dochter van 1,5 jaar. Ons leukste verblijf in IJsland en dan ook nog noorderlicht gezien vanuit de hottub.

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning gem in the West Island! Nestled in the heart of Iceland’s wilderness, the house is surrounded by untouched nature. The house itself was incredibly well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the host was thoughtful, providing clear and detailed instructions to make our visit even smoother. This was easily one of our best stays in Iceland. Highly recommend !!

We stayed with our two adult children for hunting some northern lights. The accommodation was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. A true recommendation if you look for a private, clean, quiet and modern stay with stunning views. Ragnar was always available and a helpful host.

Over the top effort to make the home lovely, comfortable, and packed with every imaginable kitchen appliance, cooking utensil, pots & pans, and dinnerware, Netflix, Prime video and much more.

Cabin was great. Clean, nice, well stocked. We enjoyed our stay. The only real improvement would be exterior lighting. There are no exterior lights, so it was hard to find after dark.

Gudny was an amazing, generous, and kind host. We felt immediately right at home and the home is well stocked with everything you could need as you adventure around Iceland. The location was excellent for our needs and it was quiet with beautiful views. The home was exactly as expected and the hot tub and outdoor shower were excellent! We would 100% stay again and highly recommend staying!!

We had a lovely stay at the summer house. We were in a great location to see so many wonderful areas in the northwestern parts of Iceland. The nearby town has everything you need. The house was beautiful and clean. The hot tub was wonderful as were the surroundings. There was a lovely garden and flowers which made it very relaxing. And, unlike many places you will find in I eland, there were many mature trees. Really a wonderful experience. I would recommend it strongly for families with three or fewer children.

Great location right off highway, large windows with great views and a large space to spread out and relax inside. We were greeted by a friendly dog very eager to play catch with rocks :)

Við dvöldum í bústaðnum um páskahelgina og vorum afar ánægð með allt. Bústaðurinn var frábær í alla staði — rúmgóður og snyrtilegur, með fullt af plássi fyrir alla fjölskylduna. Það var sérstaklega gott að hafa gestahúsið. Heiti potturinn var dásamlegur – fullkominn eftir göngutúra og til að njóta rólegra kvöldstunda undir stjörnubjörtum himni. Allt var til staðar sem við þurftum, og samskiptin við eigandann voru mjög góð og greið. Við myndum klárlega koma aftur og mælum eindregið með þessum bústað!

Quiet and peaceful summer house next to a sweet horse farm. Very comfortable beds and homey atmosphere. Green grass as far as the eye can see. I wish I were there right now!

A great log cabin in the middle of nowhere with an excellent hot tub. We only stayed for a night and loved how well the space was used inside the cabin with all possible amenities catered to. Sadly, we didn't see the Northern lights when we were there but would come back again at the next chance.

Ce cottage était petit mais le principal est là pour se permettre de passer un bon séjour et de se faire à manger. Le lieu est très calme et la vue magnifique, c'est exactement ce que nous recherchions. Tout est propre et agréable. Seul petit bémol, le canapé est confortable à l'assise mais assez dur en position lit dansle cottage 2, je recommandrais à Magret de mettre un surmatelas.

The location was located on a beautiful seaside area. I was able to walk all the way around the small peninsula on the water side during low tide and was greeted by a sweet dog on the way. The house was I woke and full of beautiful antique wood furniture and clocks that gave character. The stay was comfortable and clean and spacious.

This place is unassuming when you drive by it however it oozes with charm once you are inside. Christina has gone above and beyond making this place cozy including providing lots of toys and books for little kids. The space is VERY small for a group of 7. It works for a few nights but there is limited/no storage available. We loved waking up to the horses running and grazing in the field, it is a really magical location! They also had lots of adaptors available which was very appreciated! We would have appreciated having soap/shampoo/conditioner available in the bathroom.
