Beautifully restored 1850 farmhouse in the Shelby countryside. 30 minutes to Tryon. An hour to Charlotte/Asheville. Nearby are vineyards and GWU. 7 1/2 acres of serene beauty - sit by the pond and fish or hike the cleared trails down to the flowing creek. End the night sitting by the firepit. Sleeps 4-6 people. 1600 sq ft house with 2 BR, 2 Baths, den, and a beautiful open concept living dining and kitchen. Queen air mattress for den. NOTE: 6/25 upgraded to Starlink. Wi-Fi is no longer an issue.

This cozy 1955 Sears & Roebuck kit house has been brought back to life! We vaulted ceilings and removed walls, but kept the original footprint. It is just the right size for a getaway for 2 - 4 with 1 private bedroom and a sleeping loft. It has all the modern conveniences and is nestled at Gilbert Landing, 1 mile from downtown and 15 min to TIEC. We are dog-friendly, with host approval. There is a $99 pet fee for one dog. No dogs under 1 year. Additional pet & cleaning fees longer stays.

Cozy cottage with one bedroom (queen bed) and bath has been completely remodeled with new hardwood floors, granite counter tops, kitchen appliances and w/d. There is a nice little deck out back with a charcoal grill or enjoy a quiet evening around the fire pit out front. Five minutes to Rutherford Hospital, easy access to TIEC, the nearby blueridge mountains, historic Asheville and Hendersonville or if you are looking for something different you could easily visit Charlotte or Greenville SC.

The 2nd berthing area is a LOFT, w/a FULL foam mattress, and built to sleep children, but could adequately sleep teens/young adults if needed (not rec'd for sr adults, someone w/phys. disabilities or young children due to need to climb ladder.

We are 7 minutes from downtown Forest City, 12 minutes from TIEC, 20 minutes to Shelby, 1 hour to Asheville, and 1 hour more or less to many mountains, waterfalls and outdoor activities! 5-8 minutes away, you can find an Ingles supermarket with a Starbucks and gas station, a Walmart, an ALDI and other convenient stores.

This 1983 Ford Blue Bird bus has been one of NC's most popular Airbnb's over the last several years. It has since been relocated, renovated, rejuvenated and found its way to the perfect location on our farm. A quick stroll from our front door will take you the heart of our town where you will find local restaurants, boutiques and the Thermal Belt Trail.

We warmly invite you to our humble 1972 A-frame cabin in the foothills of the Carolina mountains. Located two miles to downtown on a paved road, access is easy. It’s at the edge of a neighborhood but feels private. As dog lovers, we welcome dogs, but expect it to be as if they were never there. We love staying here and hope you will, too. Please note: After Helene and other storms, the landscape around the creek has changed.
