You have your own small, private and secure garden, so you know your four legged holiday companion can be off-lead when you’re at home chilling out. The lodge sleeps 6 people, with an ensuite double bedroom, two single beds in the second bedroom and a comfortable double bed settee in the spacious living room, plus a second bathroom.

Underfloor heating and a cosy wood-burner. There is an EV charger at the barn. Beaches and moorland all within a half hour drive. Being within a working farm, sadly we cannot allow dogs.

The interior retains the original features such as bread ovens, inglenook and beamed ceilings and is full of charm, but it has all the comforts of a modern fully equipped kitchen and stylish bathrooms. This is a perfect escape for families, couples and friends. The cottage comes with a free car pass for Putsborough Sands.

The twin bedroom has two single beds in a spacious room next door to the family bathroom with bath / toilet. Superbly located within walking distance of the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes of Braunton, Ambrose is also just 5-10 minutes by car from Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay. A perfect getaway.

Downstairs there is underfloor heating in the well equipped open plan living room and kitchen. The accommodation is dog friendly with a dedicated field nearby for dog walking & exercising.

Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.
