This was my first time booking an Air BnB and I hit the jackpot. All the nearby " hotels" in the $100 a day price range had reports of bed bugs. Charlie's place competes with the Holiday Inn but more cozy and way more affordable. Plus no bed bugs - it's way to clean for that to happen. She is a very nice person and very welcoming. I forgot plastic bags for my sandwiches and she offered to use hers. Literally MI Casa Su Casa and it felt like it every moment I was there. Besides being fortunate enough to find her place, she had extra food that was going to go to waste so she made a chicken bow tie pasta with red sauce meal and provided me a free dinner for the week. It was delicious and she didn't have to do that. She also helped me in a few other ways that a hotel would never do and I am truly greatful. 10/10 stay and I'll book with her again if I am in the area ever again. Ditch the "hotels" and book with Charlie and thank me later. It's worth every penny.

Robert was very friendly. My husband stayed with him. His home was very comfortable and cozy.

House was great! Had everything my crew and I needed. Very comfortable and the deck over looking the lake was a great place to relax after work.

I booked the house for 6 adults and we were very satisfied with our stay. The house was nice and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen/living room were fantastic and offered a great place for us all to hang out. The house and surroundings were relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub and the fishing dock. We saw a lot of wildlife and enjoyed a nice walks around the lake. Olena was nice and responsive and we'd rent from her again.

This place was so much fun! Busy and quirky but in a fun way. I had never seen anything like some of the decor and it was really interesting and cool to look at. Big fenced in backyard for our dog. We used this as a home base for Starved Rock State Park and Matthiesen State Park. Only 30 min from those places and 30 min from Ottawa (cool down town). I would definitely do it again.

Wonderful home. Hot shower , Cozy, Comfy bed , big trees , very peaceful in the country . Very clean beautiful home. The owner is very kind and I couldn’t ask for anything more . I will definitely stay here again . His kindness makes you feel like family . A rarity these days . I Loved hearing his stories about Poland . My room was very private and peaceful. Highly recommend

Nice space with lots of extra room

Great place, very cosy, remote and peaceful. Full bed, lots of blankets, hot shower, kitchen stocked with utensils, and a lovely sitting room. This is an upstairs apartment from a home but it still feels private. Samuel gave us a tour of the farm- such an inspiring place, and a fascinating story. We were honored to visit and can’t wait to come back in the spring!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a great location (close to shops, restaurants and bars). It was quiet and private. Zepha had clear instructions and was quick to respond. The place was adorable. We hope to stay here again! Highly recommend!

it was nice, clean and modern. only 2 bedrooms and the second bedroom has 4 beds. 2 on the ground floor and 2 up in a loft. would have liked a bit more space but it's good.

Right across the street from the barrel Society best barn town. Might be the best bar in the state outside of Chicago.
