Please know I'm biased, as this place is right on Barton Lake, where I spent my formative years in the 60s living in a house barely a mile away. So, I was prepared to be swept away emotionally. The house was on the North end of the lake, a place we on the South end called the "seedy side". In the ensuing 50 years, much has happened on the North end, all to the good unless you're thinking of buying a place there. Alanna went out of her way to make our stay as pleasnat and easy as possible, from giving is the entry code when we'd forgotten it, assistance with manipulating outdoor furniture and showing up with an umbrella for the outdoors table on a sunny day when we were expecting guests. The kitchen was the best stocked of any I've ecountered in a decade of dealing with AirBnBs. All that's missing is access to a boat. There were couple of kayaks (which we did not use), but that not yet erected deck could support a boat guests could use. Already booked for Oct wknd.

This house was wonderful for myself, my parents, my 2 brothers, sister in law, and 2 nieces! The pool was in use from sun up to sun down. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. My mom was able to navigate between her wheelchair and walker, which meant all the world. I have stayed in many airbnbs. What sets this one apart, besides the gorgeous house, pool, and amenities, was the way everything was stocked. There were enough extra towels for all the in and outs of the pool. Anyone who has stayed at an airbnb with a pool can relate to not enough towels. Not the case here!! Also, plenty of extra toilet paper. And the good tp! How many times have I had to stop during my vacation to buy extra TP. Not at this house! It had everything I needed!! Including washing machine tabs, so I could keep up with the laundry. Tons of extra plates, silverware, cups! EXCELLENT communication from Mary. I am sure our family will be back to this Oasis!

This was a fun & relaxing vacation for us, our kids and the grandkids. We really never left the place except to take the boat out. The kids and grandkids had a blast in the water and the shallow water was perfect for the young ones - they especially liked the water trampoline! The house is very spacious so we never felt crowded and my daughter was able to ‘work from home’ there utilizing the desk upstairs and the picnic table on the deck one day. The kitchen offered us everything we needed for food preparation so we didn’t have to go out to eat. We would recommend Karen’s place to others.

The house was beautiful, and the yard was perfect for our furry friend. Melissa communicated really well and when there was an issue with supplies, she quickly responded and took care of the missing item. So I would highly recommend that people stay at Melissa's place.

This beautiful old house is a gem - it's as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans. And the lakefront is just so special - clean, well kept, and inviting. We have been going for over 10 years and love it today as much as the first time we visited.

A wonderful lake house for my family. The house has everything you need. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and there's lots of fun stuff for playing on the lake. Very comfortable inside and out. We had a great time!

If you are looking for a great way for everyone in the family to enjoy the lake this is the place to go I look forward to having another vacation here in the future

Jacob's place was spotless and right on the water. It worked perfectly for a guys ice fishing weekend. Jacob was very responsive and the house was exactly as described. Will be looking forward to booking this house many years to come for an annual tradition.

My partner and I stayed here a couple nights and overall very much enjoyed the space. Inside the apartment was clean and updated. We did have trouble getting in (the code didn't work) but they were there within 10 minutes to help. The heat also wasn't working (stayed about 63 degrees in there) but again they did everything they could to help and we eventually found a space heater on the last day while we were packing up. We didn't love the overhead shower but that was a personal preference. If you are like me and don't wash your hair every day, bring a shower cap. Even with these few kinks I would stay there again because it was clean and they were extremely communicative and did what they could to make us happy and feel comfortable! Also great view of the pond outside the window.

Everything was great. Absolutely loved the carriage house! Thank you so much for the attention you give to it for your guests. Hopefully, we will have opportunity to come back in summer. Brought back lots of memories because my grandparents had a cabin 5 min away for decades during my childhood. Thanks again!

The place was cozy and cute. Sleeping arrangements are cozy with a bunk bed and queen in the bedroom, so make sure you're OK with that. It's right on Thornapple river and we loved just sitting out there and fishing for our one day stay, my nephew caught 3 bass! The hosts were very responsive. Definitely would stay again!

I had no issues upon arrival entering the space. Easy, clear cut directions. Space is clean, tidy and perfect for a weekend getaway. Hot tub was nice with a great view of the lake. I felt comfortable staying here. I would visit again.

This’ll definitely be a AIRBNB I’d rent again for my next visit to Michigan! Beautiful surroundings and close to Michigan speedway! Was clean when we first arrived and just felt like home!

Absolute fantastic little cottage for a little get away.

Great home for the long weekend. Directions are very clear and communication with the owners is very easy and responsive. The house was clean and well maintained.

This was our third year staying at Chris’s cottage. The cottage was spotless as always, equipped with snacks, water, plenty of towels and amenities. The cottage is on Fish Lake, beautiful and peaceful but also fun to watch all of the water activities and wildlife. The weather was perfect. The mark of a fantastic place and location is never having to turn on the TV to pass the time. We will be back next year if it’s available! Thank you, Chris!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

A Wonderful Experience at Cozy Hosting! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cozy Hosting, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The property is located right on the water, offering great views that made our stay even more enjoyable. The home was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and well-appointed. It had everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to cozy linens, making us feel right at home. I loved spending our mornings with coffee on the deck, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The water was clear, and the deck was even better than described. My wife and kids all felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our week. This is one of the most well-appointed Airbnbs I have every stayed in, especially for someone who loves to cook! It was also very family friendly, as we had a one year old in tow. It is right on the lake and the view is so peaceful and blue. We came in cold weather so did not experience the water or the busy season, but it was perfect all the same. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Everything - furniture, appliances, etc. - were spotless and in good working order. There were spots to store things, so even though there were six of us (including a baby!) it never felt cluttered or messy. Lots of games provided and the attached all season porch was nice for reading or winding down at the end of the day. 11/10 stars!!!

Great private location with beautiful peaceful views of nature. Looking forward to staying again when the weather warms up. Canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, fire pit, bbq grill and even corn hole. Very well maintained home with a beautiful view. It is very quiet at night. The beds are comfortable the living area is a nice size and the front porch is terrific and sunny. Dana was friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect when we arrived and check out was easy. We would stay here again.
